Aurora Aksnes Born June 15th 1996 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora occasionally stylized as AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are two of the best covers of the artist. Katy Perry, who endorsed the track Runaway with her voice, gave the song a boost of recognition. Honor her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in the attic of her home, and discovering the music it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes on to try the piano as a passion or as a profession. To do this she wrote her first original compositions. Her influences include renowned authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her attraction to Bjork's style. When her mother told her that her music could be a catalyst for her to gain recognition, but also let people see the importance of their music on the planet and realise how they can benefit from the songs, she decided to begin performing publicly. When she began playing the piano, she was just 6 years old and began writing music when she was nine. It took until her 14th birthday when she shared her story with her parents. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. According to her, she is a fan of writing songs. For her, music is one of the most efficient ways to convey anything.
